RCMP Have Established A Timeline
In The Case Of Jack & Lilly Sullivan
Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Nova Scotia release statement,May 25, 2025 on International Missing Children's Day.
"Over the past three weeks, several agencies have participated in ground and air searches in Landowne Station as part of the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Lilly and Jack Sullivan.
The Nova Scotia RCMP thanks the hundreds of volunteers who've scoured the area for the two children.
As RCMP officers continue to assess and follow up on all aspects of this missing persons file, investigators thank the many Nova Scotians who've contacted police with tips."
RCMP now say that Pictou County children were seen in public, May 1st,2025 which is one day before the disappearance was reported. Investigators have confirmed that missing siblings Lilly and Jack Sullivan were seen in public with family members on the afternoon of May 1st. Just 24 hours before they were reported missing from their home on Gairloch Road. The update comes as officers say they have reviewed hours of video footage gathered from the Lansdowne Station area.
Cpl. Sandy Matharu of the Northeast Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit said, “We’re now asking anyone with dashcam footage or video taken along Gairloch Road between 12 PM on April 28th and 12 PM on May 2nd to contact us”
Since the disappearance, the number of public tips has climbed to more than 355, with investigators formally interviewing over 50 individuals so far. The RCMP say more interviews are planned as they continue exploring all possible explanations. The effort follows an intense ground and air search that began on May 2nd with the help of hundreds of searchers, K9 units, drones, and aircraft. Although the large-scale search has ended, targeted search efforts took place on May 8th, 9th, 17th, and 18th, and future searches will be guided by the direction of the investigation.
Cpl. Matharu went on to say,
“RCMP officers from various teams are fully engaged in finding out what happened to Lilly and Jack, and we’re using all tools and resources to determine the circumstances of their disappearance. We understand people’s desire for answers and updates. However, as this is an active investigation, we’re unable to discuss details of our ongoing work.”
